Wait!

Hold on, Hold back, Stand by, Hold fast! These are all synonyms for the word "Wait". To wait means to stay where one is or delay action until a particular time or until something else happens. Not an easy thing to do admittedly in most situations. In fact waiting in the context of God can be one of the most difficult things to do because Gods time is so not our time. It is written in Habakkuk 2:3 (MEV) that "...the vision is yet for an appointed time;but it speaks of the end and does not lie. If it delays, wait for it; it will surely come, it will not delay." Sounds redundant right? How can you say if it delays then say it will not delay. When you think about what makes a delicious meal and a downright concoction you consider the spices that go into flavoring the dish. Too much salt or not enough determines the relevance of the dish. Matthew 5:13-16 is the scripture from which this topic was dropped into my heart. What makes you relevant? What do you count for? How are you relevant in the Kingdom, in today's world? Jesus says in this passage that you are salt and you are light. That is, you are what gives this dish called life, flavor and what causes those in the dark to see the Light (Jesus). In Potiphars house Joseph was the salt, he brought flavor to his master's house- no wonder Potiphars wife tried at all cost to taste him!! Genesis 39: 3 says that Potiphar saw that the Lord was with him. That is the salt and light in Joseph.  I like how the Message translation put this scripture, Matthew 5:13-16; "Let me tell you why you are here. You're here to be salt-seasoning that brings out the God-f
